There are currently two schools teaching Sodokan Goju Ryu Karate in the Southampton area.

The main dojo is located in West End. This is an adults class, with beginners of over 18 years accepted. 

Netley Abbey school is run by Kevin Williams, 3rd Dan. Junior classes available for children 8 - 15 yrs. The adult class that follows accepts students from 16 years and upwards.

Martial Arts is a discipline that has many benefits that help to build fitness, confidence, respect for self and others as well as martial skills.

The emphasis on the children's class is to build self esteem and a feeling of achievement. Having respect for self and others is import to build the well balanced individuals of tomorrow's society.

For the adults there is a more martial emphasis but this is taught on a mental, physical and spiritual level. Therefore Karate is a vehicle that prepares us to cope with the battles of day to day life.

Special lessons can be arranged for other groups at their school or can be held at the main Sodokan dojo in West End, Southampton.
